Bay Gales ~ Mobile Yacht Club Ladies Auxiliary
We are a group of women organized for the purpose of getting to know one another and having fun, building a sense of community, enhancing the clubs growth and developing by increasing social involvement, and activities, offering educational opportunities, and promoting sailing among women.

President, Donna Garlotte
Donna is married to Michael Garlotte. She and her husband crew on the Kangal's sailing vessel, "Bora". She has two grown children, Michele and Bradley and one grandchild, Bradley, Jr. Donna is the past V.P. of Membership for the Bay Gales and the Administrator for the law firm of Richardson, Spear, Spear, Hamby & Owens, P.C.

V.P. ~ Membership, Susan Kangal
Susan is married to past commodore, Semih Kangal. They own sailing vessel "Bora", 34' S2. You'll often find her at MYC with her two daughters, Kamran (8yrs) and Alli (6yrs). Susan is the founding past President of Bay Gales. She also volunteers for the Junior League of Mobile, and St. Luke's Episcopal School. She works as a freelance photographer.

Treasurer, Ruby Lange
Ruby is married to Steve Lange, the current commodore of MYC. They race and sail a Pearson Flyer named Kato. In addition to sailing PHRF she also enjoys racing in one design classes. Ruby has three children Eric, Heather and Marc. As an artist, she often works in mixed media and currently teaches studio art at Murphy HS.

Secretary, Valerie Creekmore
Valerie Creekmore has been a member of the Bay Gales since its inception. Valerie's husband Lee Creekmore is a yacht designer, marine surveyor and specialty repairman. They own a South Coast 21 sailboat, named "Pal", and enjoy racing with their son Wesley. Valerie also has three daughters: Tina, Mandy and Rebecca. Valerie is a talented song writer and instrumentalist.

We were founded August of 2002.
We encourage anyone interested to join us by completing the Membership Application and submitting it to Donna Garlotte (contact (251) 443-7030, or email donna@rsspc.com), or another Bay Gales Board Member. Membership is $20.00 per year. Any female is welcome to be a part of Bay Gales provided she or her spouse is a member of Mobile Yacht Club.
